This year Krk Food Fest continues its gastronomic adventure in its third edition!
From 31st August to 7th October, let’s enjoy the Days of Krk Delicacies
Many books have been written on the quality of life by practicing the Mediterranean diet and the pleasures it provides, with its beauty of colours arising from the nature in our autochthonous environment.
This time the chefs from thirty or so Krk restaurants will have a chance to show their most creative side, taking advantage of the extremely rich gastronomic season, bringing to their kitchens figs, grapes, wine, olives, fish, sea food and many other delicacies.
Krk is well- known for many of its specialties such as cheese, prosciutto, lamb, homemade pasta (“šurlice”), olive oil and Žlahtina wine. This time they will all be combined with additional ingredients found on the island to offer a new gastronomic story!
Therefore, whether you decide to enjoy lamb, cheese, prosciutto, fish or some other island specialty, do not forget to add Krk olive oil, one of the most quality Mediterranean sort, and do not forget to finish it all with a glass of original, top- quality Vrbnik Žlahtina wine.
From Malinska, Krk, Vrbnik, Klimno and Punat, all the way to Baška, thirty or so Krk restaurants, bistros and taverns will offer their best versions of plates made up of true Krk delicacies.
In contemporary cuisine the quality is not disputed, it has become an experience.
